Juvenile ragfish, Icosteus aenigmaticus, 4 inches long. This is most likely the first ragfish ever seen underwater by divers. An adult was seen once by an ROV. The line at the top of the photo is a jellyfish tentacle. Taken in 60ft of water in the open ocean, Southern California.
